Public Information Policy

SafeReport does not treat a private report like a public accusation. Public information is created separately only after controlled review and approval steps.

Private reports are not public posts

SafeReport does not publish a reporter's original narrative or evidence directly. A separate sanitized public display record must pass the required review, identity, eligibility, integrity, neutral-language, and Admin approval controls.

Public wording stays neutral

Public information must describe reviewed information without stating that a person is guilty, proved to have committed misconduct, or is a criminal or offender. Public wording includes a no-guilt disclaimer.

Identity comes before public display

SafeReport must confirm that reviewed information is tied to the correct person before Person information can move toward public display. A private photo alone cannot confirm identity.

Material challenges pause public display

When authorized staff accept a material identity or factual challenge, the linked public display is temporarily suppressed while it is checked again. The private case and evidence remain intact.

Restoration requires fresh review

A suppressed public record cannot simply be turned back on. A corrected replacement must satisfy current identity confirmation, a fresh first-level review, an independent secondary review, normal submission, Admin approval, and the normal live-search integrity gates.

Public search minimizes data

Public search returns only approved sanitized fields. It does not return reporter identity, private evidence, private case identifiers, confirmed search aliases used internally, private contact details, or internal workflow metadata.
